Apps, Tools & Information Sources

In this section, I present a review of the applications, tools, or information sources that were proposed by Dr. Cinto and that I particularly found very useful in my practice. Therefore, I added it to my portfolio of evidence. You can click on the images for more information.

Biblioteca Digital BUAP

This tool that the university offers us is very useful for my stay in the course of my studies. But it is also very useful for information beyond the classroom because fortunately, we will have access whenever we want. It is a very complete and vast source of information.

This particular collection was very useful and easy to use because all the information it contains comes from other sources recognized as reliable and secure. Therefore, when discerning the information for our essay it was much easier.

Google Scholar

It is a search engine in which we can find academic documents. This is one of the tools that Google provides us to obtain articles and written works that are also very useful due to its confidence in knowing that it is the information verified and regulated by instances such as Redalyc, for example.

One of its most useful tools for me is the citation tool, which saves you time formatting your bibliographical references. It offers a wide variety of default formats.

Google Docs

I loved this tool. I use it in all the jobs that I have to share with my colleagues since the information is immediately updated with all the participants in the document and it is very useful when it comes to collaborative work. In this specific course, I used it with my partner Raul so that we could both work on the essay.

Google Slides

Slides is a tool very similar to Docs that we were able to use to be able to present the essay collaboratively. It is also a very useful tool in terms of teamwork.

Google Forms

Google Forms is one of my favorites and I can't wait to be able to apply it in my classes to make small Quizzes that make my forms of knowledge evaluation more dynamic. In this application, we were able to carry out a small test which is found above in my blog or you can also click on the logo below to redirect you to that section.

YouTube

This application was handy being able to insert videos more easily in this blog. It is a good site to save your own video creations without taking up space on your computer and you can reach them wherever and whenever you want just with a click.

Cmap Tools

Cmap Tools helps us to make concept maps in a very intuitive and much easier way than when they are made from scratch, such as in Word or something like that.

Teams

Teams is a platform in which we were able to upload our course assignments. I think it is a very good tool for our teaching practice. This platform houses several very useful tools to better monitor a course taught by us. It also has OneNote and Immersive Reader.

OneNote

We use this tool in the course to be able to keep notes as a diary. In this application, we were able to monitor the behavior that we were developing throughout this semester. In the same way, it helped us to be able to monitor the performance and behavior of our students.

Immersive Reader

We can find this tool in both OneNote and Teams and it helps us a lot to increase our listening skills. As well as it helps us to be able to process information from texts in an auditory way, for me it was very important since sometimes it was difficult for me to take the time to read since I require a lot of concentration to read something, in this way I could know what it was saying a text without having to focus all my attention to reading and I was able to do other activities at the same time.

Grammarly

Grammarly is one of the applications that we use to check our ability to write texts in English, our grammar, and our spelling. It is a tool that its free version is very useful but it is worth investing in its premium version since it contains more very useful tools such as Plagiarism Check.

Blogger

This online tool was very useful to expose our work as a compilation and portfolio. I already knew this tool but the truth is that I forgot how to do many of the things that can be done here on Blogger. But this is a nice tool where our students can post their coursework and it's a great way to keep it on file. This means that students have a way to resort to the knowledge review: while the entries are being created and as a query when it is already created.
